Invisible Fence® Brand launched Project Breathe™ in 2006 with a simple belief: protecting pets should not stop at the property line.
What began as a local donation initiative grew into a nationwide program supported by Invisible Fence® teams, first responders and pet-loving communities. Over the years, Project Breathe™ generated thousands of donations, meaningful community partnerships and documented stories of pets given another chance.
After a period of inactivity, Project Breathe™ returns in 2026 with a refreshed identity, renewed investment and an expanded vision for community pet safety.

During a home fire, smoke inhalation can put pets in immediate danger. Standard human oxygen masks are not shaped to fit animal faces, making it difficult to deliver oxygen effectively. In most states, emergency responders lack the equipment to resuscitate and save pets.
That’s why Invisible Fence created Project Breathe™. Our pet oxygen mask donation program provides fire departments and other eligible first responders with reusable oxygen mask kits designed specifically for animals. Each kit includes multiple sizes to help responders assist pets of different breeds and body types during an emergency; fire departments are eligible to receive one kit per station. Our program is proud to partner with PawPrint Oxygen as the provider of our pet oxygen masks.
Bring Project Breathe™ to Your Department
Fire departments and eligible first responder organizations are invited to express interest in participating in Project Breathe™.
Our team reviews each request to identify departments that may benefit from pet oxygen mask donations based on program availability, community need, and geographic coverage.
Project Breathe™ kits are donated through Invisible Fence® Brand and participating local dealers. Submission of this form does not guarantee a donation.
How the Program Works
- Express Interest
Submit form details to tell us about your department and how many kits you need. Each department is eligible for one kit of reusable masks per station. - Confirm Eligibility
Using your department's zip code, we'll notify your local dealer based on your area and program availability. - Schedule a Donation Date
We will work with your department to schedule a donation where we can provide the masks and when possible, share additional sharing pet-saving tips with your staff. Invite residents and local media to your station. We'll prepare a press release for you to send out, and kits will be presented at the event. - Equip & Save
Approved departments receive Project Breathe™ pet oxygen mask kits and join our growing network of first responders protecting pets in emergencies. Each kit includes small, medium, and large masks, oxygen tank tubing, a slip lead, and an instruction sheet. Tank not included.
