Does my yard need to be a certain size to use a GPS wireless dog fence?

We recommend using our Invisible Fence® Brand GPS Flex™ Fence be used on at least a half an acre of land (3/4 of an acre with the original GPS Dog Collar). GPS satellites orbit the Earth and can cause slight shifts in location readings. To accommodate this drift, it's best to use with a proper lot size.

Can I use the a GPS wireless dog fence indoors?

No. Because the satellites are in the sky, a clear view of the sky is essential to prevent signal blocking or disconnections that can lead to unintended corrections.

What causes GPS malfunctions?

Dense tree coverage, metal roofs, tall buildings, severe weather like heavy rain or snow, in addition to indoor use can block satellite signals, leading to disconnections or false corrections.

Should I use GPS if I live near a road?

Keeping satellite drift in mind, it is important to maintain at least 25 feet between the boundary and any danger zones (e.g., roads) or buildings/structures to reduce signal disruption.

Why do I need to have a subscription for an Invisible Fence® Brand GPS wireless dog fence?
