Each year, it’s estimated more than 40,000 pets die in fires, most succumbing to smoke inhalation. The reality in most cases is that first responders lack the equipment to resuscitate and save these animals. To help, Invisible Fence® Brand created the Project Breathe Program in 2006, giving more than 24,000 masks to fire departments in need. This year, to commemorate Invisible Fence’s 45th Anniversary, we wanted to do more.

Why Invisible Fence Donates Pet Oxygen Masks

To celebrate our 45th Anniversary, we hosted a Project Breathe Giveaway on Facebook, where we pledged to donate an additional 45 pet oxygen mask kits (135 masks total) to fire departments nominated by the public. Being a program we feel very passionate about, our goal was to raise awareness for pet owners and help give more firefighter’s the tools they need to save pets' lives.
