1. How does an Invisible Fence system work outdoors?
Very simply, a wire is concealed around the perimeter of your property, establishing your pet's Invisible Boundary®. A transmitter hidden in an out-of-the way location - like a basement or garage - sends a radio signal along the wire. The radio signal is picked up by your pet's Computer Collar®, which emits a warning sound when he approaches the Invisible Boundary. Through Safe Dog® training your dog learns to obey the signal and stay within the established boundaries.

4. Can Invisible Fence boundary wire be installed along an existing fence?
Invisible Fence boundary wire can be installed along an existing fence. If you have a chain link fence it can also be attached directly to the chain link fence. It is important to keep in mind that the signal field at the chain link fence may be larger or smaller than the signal field produced at other boundaries on your property.
